Job Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Security Engineer with a diverse skill set to join our team. We value individuals who are not only skilled programmers but also have a keen interest in DevOps and Security. As a Security Engineer, you will contribute to the success of our security team in various capacities, including deploying new infrastructure, leading technical problem-solving projects, and driving software development initiatives. While prior experience in the trading/financial industry is preferred, it is not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software, IT, and trading support teams to address security-related challenges.
- Identify and evaluate solutions to technical problems, considering both internally developed and purchased options.
- Develop software projects, working on both legacy systems and greenfield projects.
- Provide on-call support as necessary.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of various areas within security.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience with DevOps principles and building tools/applications.
- Knowledge of Linux systems and associated facilities.
- Strong automation and scripting skills on the Linux platform.
- Demonstrated initiative and a track record of independently driving projects to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Familiarity with the layers of the OSI model.
- Working knowledge of languages such as Python, GoLang, Rust, C#, Java, or git.
- Prior experience with web development using JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Flask, Django, Vue, or React.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.
- Proficiency in automated deployment tools like Ansible, Chef, Capistrano, or Puppet.
- Experience utilizing AWS for delivering solutions.
