Position Overview: As a Senior Security Control Assessor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, analyzing, and securing the organization's systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess security controls, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies. This is a fully remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from any location while contributing to the security posture of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security control assessments on systems, networks, and applications.
- Evaluate and analyze security controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate security measures into the development and operational processes.
- Provide guidance and expertise on security best practices to support a proactive security culture.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Security Control Assessor or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
