Software Linux Engineer Q/A (m/f/d)
Location: Berlin
Out clients datacenters consist ofhypervisor machines hostingVMs. The software side of our storage stack is based on the upstreamlinux kernel drivers, yet to be open-sourced in-house solutions and the provisioning software. Further design and development, maintenance and troubleshooting as well as performance-, reliability- and efficiency- evaluation and optimisation of this stack is the task of the storage development team.
What you will do:
- Participate as a team member in planning sprints, software design, developing and testing features at the Linux stack level.
- Co-operate with development for optimisation and debugging for the next Cloud Storage Solution.
- Automate test cases and partner with other team members to further develop the test environment.
- Draft and execute test plans for e.g. performance, load, stress and security testing.
What you have to know:
- Operation of Linux systems, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
- Fluent in some scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and familiar with CLI.
- Show intuition and knowledge about analysing software to find bugs and apply that knowledge in order to drive the quality of the service.
- Highly experienced in and knowledgeable of test techniques such as boundary analysis, type checking, negative testing, test-data coverage analysis, coverage testing and other techniques.
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills with attention to details.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
