Summary: An fast-growing B2B Platform, who provides businesses a suite of tools to manage their business more efficiently for buyers and sellers, are looking for an ambitious and tech savvy Principal Software Engineer. They are seeking a highly skilled engineer and tech lead with strong experience in Python or Node to help build out their core services platform.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and building their various commerce/marketplace services
- Set and drive architectural design and development objectives, leading direction of these initiatives
- Working directly with the VP of Engineering and department stakeholders to plan short & long term goals
- Technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities, contributing to the growth of the engineering team
- Building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional leaders and team members, as well as coaching project team members
Qualifications:
- 15 YOE working in Software Development/Engineer, ideally with experience in B2B or eCommerce
- Expertise in architecting/developing large-scale, distributed systems
- Proven track record of thoughtful problem-solving
- Strong knowledge of Python or Node
