Are you an experienced Citrix Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are partnering with a global leader in HR and Payment Services to hire a Level 3 Citrix/Cloud Engineer for a long-term freelance mission. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a proactive expert who can take ownership of enterprise-scale Citrix environments and lead cloud migration efforts.
About the Role
You'll serve as the central technical authority for Citrix desktop and application vitalisation, managing critical infrastructure while overseeing Level 2 support. This role is essential to the ongoing lifecycle management and modernisation of their digital workplace environments.
Responsibilities
Lead the maintenance, upgrade, and optimisation of Citrix environments
Manage escalations, high-severity incidents, and service outages
Oversee infrastructure related to Citrix, including storage, networking, and cloud migration
Create and review knowledge base articles and support scripts
Drive automation, security compliance, and performance analysis
Work with Citrix components such as Virtual Apps & Desktops, NetScaler, PVS/MCS, and UPM
Key Skills & Technologies
Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, PVS, MCS, NetScaler (ADC)
Citrix UPM (User Profile Management)
Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2022, Windows 11
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs
PowerShell scripting
Hypervisors (VMware), storage configuration and management
Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution capabilities
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
Proven ability to manage Citrix infrastructure in enterprise environments
Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced setting
Excellent communication skills in English
