Position Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead from the front in a player/coach capacity. This is a frontline leadership role where you'll be actively involved in selling, mentoring, and building a high-performing sales team. You'll work closely with leadership to drive revenue growth, forecast accurately, and expand the company's footprint in the Oil and Gas sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example: Actively participate in the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Coach and mentor: Support and develop a team of sales representatives through training, feedback, and performance management.
  • Recruit and build: Identify, hire, and onboard top sales talent to grow the team.
  • Forecasting: Own and manage accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting.
  • Strategy execution: Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
  • Customer focus: Build strong relationships with key clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Market insight: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Oil and Gas industry (required).
  • 2+ years in a sales leadership or team lead role, preferably in a player/coach capacity.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in SaaS sales is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get in the trenches with your team.
