Managing Director - Sales & Marketing Strategy

POSITION SUMMARY

We're partnering with a leading technology-enabled legal services provider specializing in mass tort, class action, and complex litigation support. This organization is known for its innovative approach to settlement administration, healthcare lien resolution, and legal operations support.

They are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as Managing Director - Sales & Marketing Strategy, a newly created role designed to accelerate revenue growth by removing barriers, optimizing go-to-market strategy, and unifying sales and marketing efforts.

This role will work closely with senior sales leadership to support their efforts, improve performance through strategy, and bring marketing into tighter alignment with business development goals.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for recruiting and mentoring junior sales talent, building scalable processes for sales enablement, and serving as the primary liaison between the sales team and other functions such as marketing, client success, operations, and leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Growth Strategy & Sales Enablement

  • Partner with EVP-level sales leaders to identify high-impact opportunities for growth and resource alignment
  • Design and implement scalable sales enablement tools, playbooks, and training pathways for junior sales talent
  • Own account assignments among junior and senior sales personnel
  • Evaluate and improve sales processes, pipeline health, and forecasting discipline without slowing momentum
  • Serve as a connector between sales, client delivery, legal, finance, and operations to streamline handoffs and reduce friction
  • Report directly to the CEO and Board on all sales initiatives
  • Lead Salesforce CRM adoption and ensure regular updates to the sales pipeline report
  • Coordinate sales efforts on key projects and collaborate with operations to scope opportunities

Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing roadmap that supports business development priorities, elevates brand visibility, and drives qualified leads
  • Oversee and mentor the marketing function with a focus on strategy, messaging, campaign design, sales collateral, and thought leadership
  • Align marketing activities and KPIs with business goals, evolving from tactical support to a strategic partner to sales
  • Champion data-driven marketing by evaluating performance and continuously optimizing across channels to ensure ROI

Team Development & Cross-Functional Impact

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop junior sales talent into high-impact roles
  • Translate sales team needs into cross-functional priorities and help resolve internal bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team on go-to-market planning, pricing strategies, and product positioning
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive and forward-thinking

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in a revenue-related leadership role spanning sales, marketing, and/or go-to-market strategy
  • Proven ability to partner with high-performing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of complex, relationship-based B2B sales cycles-ideally in legal, professional services, or mass tort/class action administration
  • Experience leading or revamping a B2B marketing function with a clear emphasis on growth strategy and sales support
  • High EQ with a collaborative, service-oriented leadership style
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
