POSITION SUMMARY

We're partnering with a leading provider of technology-enabled legal services that supports mass tort, class action, and complex litigation through innovative settlement administration and legal operations solutions.

This role is ideal for a sales-driven, client-focused professional who thrives on building relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The Business Development Representative will engage with existing and prospective clients-through in-person meetings, industry events, client visits, and virtual channels-to uncover opportunities and close transactions across multiple service lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate in mass tort industry events to build visibility and network
  • Gather and deliver actionable intelligence on mass tort projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, gatekeepers, and influencers within the legal services ecosystem
  • Collaborate with senior sales leaders to set appointments and support the sales conversion process
  • Focus on developing new relationships with law firms and prospects not currently engaged
  • Present, promote, and sell services using solution-based sales techniques tailored to litigation needs
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and client services to propose creative, scalable solutions aligned with strategic growth
  • Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients to proactively manage expectations
  • Partner with leadership and operations to address client concerns and ensure high levels of service delivery
  • Coordinate sales efforts with client services, operations, and finance to ensure smooth contracting and handoffs
  • Provide market insights to leadership on customer needs, competitive activity, and opportunities for new services
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices
  • Accurately document activities and opportunities in the CRM system
  • Manage proposals, contracts, and related documentation in the contract lifecycle management system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal industry-related services sales or as an attorney in mass tort or personal injury litigation
  • Proven ability to drive revenue through prospecting and relationship-building
  • Strong client-facing skills and experience presenting to senior attorneys or executive-level stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate the impact of emerging legal technologies and service differentiators
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and strategy
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and administrative efficiency
  • Experience with CRM and contract management software preferred
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, energy, and a solution-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time
