The Opportunity
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company building a platform that connects physical products with cloud-based software and data. They're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and deploy technical solutions in real-world environments.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on technically while working directly with customers.
What You'll Do
- Lead technical deployments with enterprise customers.
- Translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Build APIs, integrations, scripts, and prototypes.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges across customer environments.
- Lead technical workshops, onboarding, and architecture discussions.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to improve the platform based on customer needs.
- Travel domestically up to 30-40% to support customer deployments and implementations.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years in software engineering, solutions engineering, implementation engineering, or technical consulting.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on coding or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Comfortable working a 3-day-per-week onsite hybrid schedule in New York City and traveling domestically as required.
Nice to Have
Experience with IoT, connected devices, supply chain technology, or hardware-enabled software platforms.
