Senior System Test & Validation Engineer
Location: New Castle, DE (5 Days Onsite)
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 Base + Performance Bonus
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card preferred. H-1B transfers may be considered.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior System Test & Validation Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of complex connected products that combine hardware, embedded software, Linux-based platforms, backend services, and web applications. This is a highly hands-on role focused on validating real-world systems, troubleshooting challenging issues, and helping bring innovative products from development to production.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software and has experience testing robotics, aerospace, embedded, IoT, instrumentation, or other complex physical systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute system-level test plans for complex Linux-based products and connected devices.
- Validate end-to-end functionality across hardware, firmware, backend services, APIs, and web applications.
- Perform integration, regression, performance, reliability, and long-duration testing.
- Test products under real-world operating conditions, including power failures, network interruptions, upgrades, and fault scenarios.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system-level issues spanning hardware and software components.
- Partner with firmware, software, hardware, manufacturing, and product teams to drive product quality.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and other automation tools.
- Support CI/CD testing workflows and release readiness activities.
- Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters to diagnose system behavior and failures.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in system testing, validation engineering, quality engineering, or related fields.
- Experience testing complex products that integrate hardware and software.
- Strong Linux experience.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation, robotics, aerospace, embedded systems, IoT devices, or other physical products.
- Experience with test automation and scripting, preferably Python.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working in a lab environment with physical devices and instrumentation
