Technical Project Manager - IAM

Our client is within the Payments Industry and is currently enhancing its Identity & Access Management (IAM) and compliance frameworks across EMEA. They are seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep IAM expertise to support recertification, access governance, and SailPoint IDN migration initiatives.

Position Overview

The Technical Project Manager will work alongside the GETS EMEA Compliance Manager to redesign and implement identity governance processes across Windows, Unix, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. This role requires strong technical understanding, structured project leadership, and the ability to coordinate compliance and audit requirements across multiple international teams.

You will oversee recertification cycles, validate data quality for IAM migrations, optimise the adoption of SailPoint IdentityNow, and ensure alignment with internal security policies and ISO27001 expectations. The position involves extensive documentation, process analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders across global security, compliance, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

Access Recertification & Compliance

  • Redefine and manage the recertification plan for local accounts (Windows, Unix, databases).
  • Ensure all activities meet internal security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify process gaps, anomalies, or risks in access management workflows and propose remediation actions.
  • Maintain and improve the completeness and quality of the application recertification programme.
  • Support audit readiness by enhancing reporting and documentation tools.

IAM Migration & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee development and validation of scripts for migrating accounts into SailPoint IdentityNow.
  • Validate data integrity, attribute quality, access ownership, and migration accuracy.
  • Ensure high-quality onboarding of applications and accounts into the new IAM tooling.
  • Optimise recertification workflows and access governance processes within SailPoint IDN.

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Document access provisioning and deprovisioning procedures for cloud-hosted and globally managed applications.
  • Produce audit-ready documentation covering:
    • Employee exit process controls
    • Access validation workflows
    • Access provisioning governance
  • Analyse current processes and implement improvements to strengthen operational security and auditability.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with IAM teams, application owners, compliance leads, and infrastructure/security teams.
  • Communicate milestones, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
  • Support alignment between regional and global governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience in IAM with practical exposure to SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN).
  • Solid understanding of recertification, governance, audit, and compliance frameworks.
  • Technical knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, Active Directory, LDAP.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation: PowerShell, Python, SQL, Git.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
  • Understanding of ISO27001, SOC, and internal control frameworks.

Project Management

  • Proven experience delivering technical or compliance-related projects in complex environments.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.

Language Skills

  • English: Read, spoken, written (required)
  • French: Read, spoken, written (required)

Soft Skills

  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solver with a structured approach to documentation and governance.
  • Effective stakeholder manager, able to work across diverse teams.
  • Comfortable operating within an international and fast-moving environment.
