Associate Principal Infrastructure Engineer - HashiCorp Vault
Glocomms is partnering with a major financial services organization to find an Associate Principal Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen and evolve the organization's privileged access and secrets management capabilities. In this role, you will own critical security platforms, drive automation, introduce AI‑enhanced solutions, and shape modern security architecture for a large-scale, enterprise environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on engineering, problem‑solving, and advancing security maturity across a complex technology landscape and has expretise with HashiCorp Vault.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support privileged access and secrets management platforms (e.g., CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, PKI), including upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Provide expert guidance on privileged access architecture, security‑as‑code principles, and secure design patterns.
- Develop enhancements to improve usability, stability, and automation across security platforms.
- Leverage AI‑based technologies to improve detection, remediation, and system optimisation.
- Act as a subject-matter expert partnering with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.
- Ensure systems align with internal security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Core Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization technologies (e.g., Active Directory, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, IAM, Kerberos, certificates).
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments and CI/CD tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.).
- Solid grasp of security architecture principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability).
Technical Expertise
- Deep experience supporting CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, PKI, HSMs, or related security systems.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages: Go, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Strong background in privileged access methodologies across on‑prem and cloud workloads.
Background & Experience
- Previous experience in security engineering, security operations, development, or architecture.
- Practical exposure to AI‑assisted coding/automation tools is a plus.
