Senior Security Architect - New York City (Hybrid)
Compensation: Up to $150K base (plus full benefits)
We're supporting a high‑growth organization in NYC that's looking for a Senior Security Architect to help shape their long‑term security strategy and elevate their overall security posture. This is a hybrid role (2-3 days onsite) working closely with engineering, cloud, and leadership teams.
What You'll Do:
- Own the end‑to‑end security architecture across cloud, applications, and enterprise infrastructure
- Design scalable security frameworks, standards, and reference architectures
- Partner with engineering teams to embed security into new and existing systems
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and solution design for major initiatives
- Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies across the environment
- Act as a technical advisor to leadership on emerging threats and best practices
What They're Looking For:
- 7-10+ years across security engineering/architecture
- Strong background in cloud security (AWS or Azure), IAM, network security, and SaaS environments
- Experience building secure-by-design systems and influencing engineering stakeholders
- Ability to balance hands‑on technical depth with high‑level architectural strategy
- Strong communication skills-able to translate security concepts to execs and engineers
