We are supporting a Tier 1 / Tier 2 Investment Bank in the search for a Quant Developer (also known in some organisations as a Quantitative Analyst or Quantitative Strategist) to join a high-performing quantitative development team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of a next-generation pricing library being built from the ground up. The organisation is undertaking a strategic move to Rust due to its memory management advantages and to encourage adoption of modern engineering practices across the quantitative technology landscape.

Previous Rust experience is not required. The focus is on individuals with strong quantitative development experience and a proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale pricing libraries within an investment banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the buildout of a new pricing library from scratch.
  • Develop and enhance quantitative pricing models and supporting analytics.
  • Work closely with Front Office, Quantitative Research, Trading, and Technology teams.
  • Design scalable and high-performance solutions for pricing and risk calculation.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the bank's quantitative technology stack.
  • Participate in the adoption and development of solutions within a modern Rust-based environment.

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Quant Developer, Quant Analyst, or Quant Strat within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 investment bank.
  • Strong programming expertise in C++ or C# (primary requirement).
  • Good working knowledge of Python.
  • Proven experience developing, maintaining, or enhancing large pricing libraries.
  • Strong understanding of derivatives pricing, quantitative modelling, and risk analytics.
  • Experience working directly with Front Office stakeholders.

  • Strong software engineering principles combined with quantitative expertise.
  • Experience delivering production-grade quantitative applications.
  • Ability to work within a collaborative global team.
