We are looking for a Design Engineer to help define and build the user experience for an AI-driven platform operating in a highly complex, workflow-oriented environment. This role sits at the intersection of product design and frontend engineering, and is ideal for someone who enjoys moving seamlessly between design thinking and implementation.
You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to transform ideas into polished, production-ready experiences. This is a highly collaborative role with significant ownership and influence over how users interact with the product on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build polished, production-quality user interfaces across core product experiences
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate concepts into intuitive, user-centered workflows
- Create experiences that simplify complex processes and make powerful systems feel approachable and easy to use
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system, component library, and frontend foundations
- Craft thoughtful interactions through strong visual design, motion, responsiveness, and attention to detail
- Build modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and contemporary UI technologies
- Optimize for performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability
- Help establish a high bar for product quality, usability, and craftsmanship across the organization
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building modern web applications
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend technologies
- Exceptional product taste and a strong eye for interaction design, visual hierarchy, and usability
- Comfortable operating across both design and engineering disciplines
- Experience translating product concepts into polished, production-ready software
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
- High attention to detail and pride in building products users genuinely enjoy using
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI-powered or agent-driven products
- Experience with design systems and reusable component libraries
- Experience working in early-stage startup environments
- Strong motion design or frontend animation experience
- Experience building enterprise software, workflow tools, or productivity platforms
