Manager, AI Solutions & Innovation
I'm currently partnering with a global, data-driven technology organization that sits at the intersection of analytics, innovation, and digital transformation. They're investing heavily in how AI can improve the way teams work, make decisions, and scale impact across the business.
They're looking for a Manager, Automation & Innovation to help lead that journey.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role focused on identifying opportunities for AI-driven transformation, building practical solutions, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization to drive meaningful business outcomes. This person will have the opportunity to influence strategy, shape AI adoption, and help define the future direction of automation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions
* Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities
* Build and deploy production AI applications
* Integrate third-party systems and services through APIs
* Drive innovation initiatives and AI adoption across teams
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable solutions
* Support cloud-based AI and data platforms
Required Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a related field
* Strong Python development experience
* Experience working with AWS
* Experience designing and building production software applications
* Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and system design
* Experience integrating third-party systems through APIs
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Generative AI / LLM experience
* Agentic AI and workflow automation
* RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
* LangChain or LangGraph
* Databricks or modern data platforms
* FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
* Experience deploying AI solutions in production

The ideal candidate is someone who can bridge the gap between business and technology. This is not a research-focused role. The team is looking for someone who can identify opportunities, architect solutions, build applications, and drive the adoption of AI across a large, global organization.
Location: Chicago, IL or New York, NY (Hybrid)
Preference for candidates based in or willing to commute to Chicago.
