Forward Deployed Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer
to build and deploy data-driven applications that leverage IoT, cloud, and enterprise data systems. This individual will work closely with customers, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable software solutions that provide real-time visibility and insights across supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a customer-facing technical expert and partner directly with clients to solve technical challenges
- Develop applications and microservices using Python
- Design APIs and backend services to process IoT sensor data
- Integrate real-time and batch data flows with cloud and data engineering teams
- Participate in requirements gathering and product design discussions
- Ensure software scalability, security, and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
Required Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of software development experience in backend or full-stack environments
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Apache Spark
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Strong debugging, system design, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Based in NYC or willing to work a hybrid schedule
