About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong Sophis expertise to join a leading investment banking technology environment.
This role will focus on the delivery of strategic Sophis-related initiatives and technology transformation programmes across a complex Front Office ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with business, technology, production and vendor teams to drive the successful delivery of key projects while ensuring strong stakeholder engagement throughout the programme lifecycle.
This position offers an opportunity to work across multiple areas of the Sophis platform and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders within a highly regulated capital markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of strategic Sophis-related projects and initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles from planning through to implementation.
- Coordinate activities across business, technology and operational teams.
- Manage relationships with platform vendors and external technology partners.
- Drive project governance, reporting, risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Facilitate collaboration between Front Office, Production Support, Infrastructure and Development teams.
- Coordinate testing, release and implementation activities.
- Ensure project objectives, timelines and deliverables are successfully achieved.
- Produce project documentation, progress updates and executive reporting.
- Support wider technology transformation initiatives where required.
Required Experience
- Proven Project Management experience within Investment Banking or Capital Markets environments.
- Strong knowledge of Sophis gained through project delivery, change initiatives or direct platform exposure.
- Experience delivering technology transformation, migration, upgrade or strategic change programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across both technical and business functions.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams within complex environments.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and technology partners.
- Strong governance, risk management and reporting experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to operate effectively across Front Office technology, Production Support and Infrastructure teams.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience delivering Sophis-related programmes or projects.
- Exposure to Front Office, Pricing, Risk or Trading Technology environments.
- Knowledge of software testing, release management and change management processes.
- Experience within large-scale investment banking technology environments.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery frameworks.
