Project Manager / Program Manager - Lisbon IT Hub

We're offering a rare opportunity to be part of something truly transformative: the launch of a brand-new IT Hub in Lisbon for a global technology-driven organization. As a founding member of the leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, processes, and success of this new center of excellence. This is more than a job-it's a chance to help build a high-performing, collaborative environment from the ground up.

In this role, you'll lead and deliver strategic, cross-functional IT projects that are critical to the company's global operations. You'll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle-from planning and execution to delivery and closure-ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You'll work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders across multiple geographies, including Portugal and other international locations.

Your day-to-day will involve coordinating resources, managing risks, resolving issues, and driving alignment across departments. You'll be expected to foster strong relationships, communicate effectively across cultures and time zones, and ensure that project goals are clearly understood and met. You'll also champion continuous improvement, promote best practices, and uphold high standards of quality throughout every phase of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Build and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity of roles and accountability.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders at all levels, both locally and globally.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing complex IT projects across multiple teams and geographies.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery models.
• Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master) preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
