IT Hub Operations Manager - Lisbon

We're offering a unique opportunity to be part of the founding team of a brand-new IT Hub in Lisbon for a global technology-driven organisation. As Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in establishing and running the day-to-day operations of the hub, supporting the Managing Director and contributing to the long-term success of this strategic initiative.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the hub's operational infrastructure. You'll oversee resource planning, process optimisation, and coordination across key support functions including HR, finance, and facilities. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships, and drive operational excellence will be essential as the hub scales and evolves.

You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to implement efficient work flows, monitor performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making. You'll also play a key role in budgeting, reporting, and tracking KPIs to ensure transparency and accountability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the IT Hub, ensuring smooth coordination across teams and functions.
  • Support the Managing Director in strategic planning, resource allocation, and operational decision-making.
  • Implement and continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Coordinate with HR, finance, and facilities to ensure alignment and timely execution of support activities.
  • Lead budgeting, reporting, and KPI tracking to monitor performance and support data-driven decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT operations, office management, or business operations within a tech or corporate environment.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Portuguese is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar operational frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience working in a start up or scale-up environment is beneficial but not required.

This is a rare chance to help build something meaningful from the ground up. If you're passionate about operations, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to be part of a high-impact initiative, we'd love to hear from you.
