Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of New Business Sales to lead a team of Account Executives focused on acquiring new logos in the oil and gas sector. This role is pivotal to driving the company's growth strategy by expanding its customer base and increasing market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 5-6 high-performing Account Executives focused on new customer acquisition.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive new business sales strategy aligned with company goals.
- Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring consistent achievement and overachievement of quotas.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to align go-to-market strategies.
- Identify and pursue strategic opportunities in the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Analyze sales metrics and pipeline data to optimize team performance and forecast revenue.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading successful sales teams in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, including key trends, challenges, and decision-making processes.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling enterprise software solutions to oil and gas companies.
- Familiarity with land, accounting, production, or field operations software.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
