Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Go-to-Market Representative to become the first dedicated commercial hire on the team. This individual will own top-of-funnel pipeline generation efforts and play a critical role in building the foundation of the company's go-to-market strategy.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys outbound prospecting, and wants significant ownership and impact. The successful candidate will work closely with founders and technical teams while engaging directly with CTOs, engineering leaders, and decision-makers at innovative AI companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own outbound prospecting efforts across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Generate qualified meetings with prospective customers and technical decision-makers
- Build, test, and optimize outbound messaging and multi-touch prospecting sequences
- Identify and research target accounts, stakeholders, and market opportunities
- Track activity, conversion rates, and pipeline generation metrics
- Partner closely with founders and technical teams to support customer conversations
- Maintain accurate CRM data and sales activity records
- Help build and refine the company's go-to-market playbook as the business scales
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of B2B sales, business development, or sales development experience
- Proven success generating meetings and pipeline through outbound prospecting
- Ability to confidently discuss key performance metrics, including outreach activity, response rates, meetings booked, and pipeline generated
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with a high level of ownership, initiative, and accountability
- Desire to learn, adapt, and thrive in an early-stage company environment
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience prospecting into technical buyers, including founders, engineering leaders, or CTOs
- Previous experience in AI, cloud, infrastructure, developer tools, data, or other technical software environments
- Experience building outbound messaging, sequences, or prospecting strategies from scratch
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of testing and optimizing outreach performance
- Interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
- Desire to grow into a full-cycle sales role over time
