Site reliability Engineer
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / System Engineer with a strong background in both Windows and Linux system administration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hybrid environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and is passionate about automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain traditional infrastructure across Linux and Windows servers.
- Manage and secure infrastructure services and applications running on top of the OS.
- Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and project managers to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Participate in on-call rotations (minimal workload expected due to automation efforts).
- Drive automation initiatives using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages.
- Support and maintain Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, SCCM, SCOM, and Orchestrator (a plus).
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
- Strong command-line skills and understanding of file systems, permissions, and process management.
- Solid grasp of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and major cloud providers.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to incident management.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
