Senior Technology Manager
Glocomms is partnered with a leading construction firm to bring on a Senior Technology Manager to oversee and advance the organization's IT department. This role is responsible for providing strategic direction and hands‑on leadership across IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, ensuring reliable and secure technology environments that support both office and field operations. The Manager will lead mission‑critical systems, manage enterprise platforms, guide long‑term technology initiatives, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Information Technology (IT) management and technology operations across the enterprise.
- Develop and execute strategic technology planning initiatives aligned with long‑term business goals.
- Oversee system reliability, scalability, and performance monitoring for business‑critical platforms.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technology trends, including AI, to drive innovation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee help desk support, user troubleshooting, and customer‑service oriented IT support.
- Establish IT governance frameworks, documentation standards, and policies and procedures.
- Manage hardware and software lifecycle, including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Oversee technology onboarding, including account creation, access provisioning, and equipment setup.
Infrastructure, Security & Compliance
- Manage IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network administration.
- Oversee cybersecurity, cyber risk management, and information security controls.
- Ensure data protection, security, and privacy, including backup and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry‑specific requirements.
- Safeguard confidential information with the highest level of professional conduct.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of progressive IT experience, management experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in office with regular support of field site operation's.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience supporting mission‑critical systems and ERP implementations.
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues across a diverse user base.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
