Global Data Cost & Pricing Analyst

Company Overview

Our client is a leading technology company in identity verification and fraud prevention, leveraging advanced machine learning and global data networks to help organizations verify identities, detect risk, and prevent fraud in real time.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Pricing Analyst to own the cost structures, margin models, and pricing strategy behind the company's global data products. Sitting within the Product organization, this role plays a critical part in how the company evaluates data vendor costs, models unit economics, analyzes gross margins, and designs competitive, scalable pricing for API and enterprise data products. It's an ideal role for someone who blends financial modeling, data analysis, and product strategy-someone who can translate complex cost and usage data into clear pricing recommendations that support product growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost, margin, and pricing models across subscription, transactional/API, and enterprise licensing products
  • Analyze data vendor spend, evaluate data acquisition costs, and support vendor negotiations with clear cost and margin requirements
  • Model gross margins, monitor performance, and assess pricing sensitivity under different usage and cost scenarios
  • Partner with Product to align pricing with product strategy, tiering, and roadmap priorities
  • Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, scenario modeling, and revenue planning
  • Benchmark competitive pricing and margins through market research and internal data
  • Monitor pricing and margin KPIs (ARPU, conversion, revenue, margins) and recommend adjustments
  • Maintain accurate cost inputs across a wide set of global data vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, data procurement, or cost modeling-preferably within SaaS, data products, fraud, identity, or compliance
  • Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Experience with unit economics, margin modeling, or pricing optimization
  • Ability to translate complex data and cost structures into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong cross‑functional skills; able to partner with Product, Finance, and Revenue teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or related field (Master's a plus)

Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization.
