Manager of IT Services
Glocomms is partnering with a leading global organization who are looking to bring on a Regional IT Field Services Director, overseeing technology support across high‑visibility offices and major project sites in the Northeast. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the field and in the office moving seamlessly between hands‑on site work, team leadership, and executive-level conversations.
In this role, you'll drive regional service delivery, guide a dispersed team through rapid technology changes, and use ITSM data to make smart, informed decisions. You'll partner closely with business leaders, ensure smooth mobilizations, and elevate the overall end‑user experience. This position is perfect for an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments and excels at both strategy and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Spend time traveling up to 50% in the field visiting job sites throughout the Northeast, meeting with local leadership, and ensuring technology readiness.
- Step in hands-on as needed to support site setups, office moves, cut overs, and urgent technical issues.
- Partner with other IT groups (networking, service desk, procurement) to coordinate deployments and ensure alignment.
- Serve as the primary regional IT face to construction leadership, GMs, project executives, and functional heads; communicate clearly with engineers through executives.
- Accountable for ensuring all job mobilizations are completed on time and within budget, overseeing the regional corporate budget, and leading ongoing process improvements that strengthen the field services organization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leading teams and managing projects.
- 3+ years of hands‑on technical support experience in a PC-based environment
- 3+ years of preparing reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- 3+ years of experience conducting performance evaluations, talent assessments, and creating career development plans.
- Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university, or 8 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience.
