This role centers on delivering strategic insights across therapeutic areas by leveraging a deep understanding of the market access ecosystem and integrating diverse healthcare datasets. The position supports cross-functional teams by translating complex data into actionable strategies that enhance access-driven performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize a variety of healthcare data sources-including formulary, claims, and prescriber data-to uncover trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Conduct comparative analyses of market share versus access levels across therapeutic portfolios.
- Monitor and interpret shifts in payer behavior, prescriber preferences, and formulary positioning to guide business strategy.
- Collaborate with analytics colleagues to ensure cohesive and comprehensive data storytelling.
- Support field reimbursement and account teams with data-driven recommendations and performance tracking.
- Evaluate the impact of formulary changes and access events through targeted reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in statistics, data science, mathematics, or business-related disciplines.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years with a bachelor's degree or 6 years with a master's degree or 3 years with a Phd in healthcare analytics, consulting, or related fields.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Proficient in Python, SAS, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
- Experienced with pharmaceutical data platforms including IQVIA (e.g., xPonent, PlanTrak, FIA/LAAD), Symphony (e.g., PHAST, Prescriber/Payer), and formulary datasets (e.g., MMIT, Fingertip).
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with pharmacy benefit managers, health insurers, or consulting environments.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of extracting insights from large datasets and forecasting market dynamics.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
