What You'll Do
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a skilled group of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Product Development: Drive the creation and deployment of AI-powered solutions, ensuring they align with strategic goals and deliver measurable impact.
- Technical Oversight: Maintain high standards through code reviews, architectural guidance, and best practices in machine learning operations.
- Agile Execution: Lead projects using agile methodologies, from planning and backlog management to iterative delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and executive teams to ensure alignment and success.
- Innovation & Research: Stay ahead of trends in AI, ML, and sensor analytics, and champion their integration into ongoing projects.
- Process Optimization: Continuously refine internal workflows and quality standards to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Your Background
- 7+ years of experience in data science or ML, including 2+ years in a leadership role with team management responsibilities.
- Proven success in delivering AI solutions, ideally in environments involving complex sensor data.
- Deep knowledge of the full MLOps lifecycle, with hands-on experience in cloud-based and edge AI deployments.
- Expertise in deep learning, computer vision, and signal processing; familiarity with intelligent metering or distributed sensing is a plus.
- Proficient in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of taking products from concept to launch.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical insights for diverse audiences.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., German) are a bonus.
- Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics; a PhD is advantageous.
