Regional IT Field Director

Glocomms is partnering with a premier U.S. organization known for delivering major projects and is expanding its IT team in the Northeast. The Regional IT Field Director will oversee technology operations across multiple project sites and corporate offices, with frequent travel to ensure IT readiness, support mobilizations, and manage all field and office infrastructure setup.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in fast‑paced environments, capable of balancing hands‑on technical work with strong leadership, and skilled at communicating with stakeholders from engineers to senior executives. This role will guide teams through technological changes, use ITSM data to support decisions, and ensure a high quality experience for users across all locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel up to 50% throughout the Northeast to visit project sites and corporate offices, assess technology readiness, and collaborate with local leadership.
  • Lead and support IT setups for new job sites, field offices, and corporate office spaces, ensuring successful mobilizations and cutovers.
  • Provide hands‑on technical assistance when needed for urgent issues, relocations, and infrastructure deployments.
  • Work closely with internal IT groups including networking, service desk, and procurement to plan and coordinate regional deployments.
  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for regional operational leadership, maintaining clear and consistent communication across all organizational levels.
  • Manage regional budgets, ensure project mobilizations are delivered on time and within financial targets, and drive continuous improvements within the field services function.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing employees and/or projects
  • 3+ years of technical support experience in PC and networking environments
  • 3+ years of experience preparing reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation
  • 3+ years of experience conducting talent evaluations, performance assessments, and career development planning
  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience plus at least 5 years of relevant, progressive responsibility
