Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, forward-thinking Senior Network Engineer to join a corporate engineering team driving modern, automated, and intelligent network operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who excels in enterprise-scale networking and is passionate about automation, infrastructure-as-code, and the future of AI-enabled network operations.

You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and evolving secure, scalable network architectures across campus, WAN, cloud, and remote access environments-while helping shape how automation and AI improve reliability, efficiency, and visibility across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and support large-scale enterprise networks spanning campus, WAN, cloud, and remote access environments in a multi-vendor ecosystem (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Lead network automation initiatives using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve speed, consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven network operations (AIOps) tools to enhance monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, root cause analysis, and capacity planning.
• Translate business and application requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures through close collaboration with engineering, security, and cloud teams.
• Architect and support hybrid connectivity across on-prem infrastructure, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and SaaS services.
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, segmentation strategies, zero-trust architectures, access controls, and encryption standards.
• Build and maintain NetDevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines that enable version-controlled, repeatable, and auditable network changes.
• Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and proactively address issues to maintain high availability and optimal user experience.
• Drive continuous improvement through adoption of modern networking technologies such as SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud-native networking.
• Create and maintain clear documentation, automation workflows, architectural diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support incident response and critical network operations.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or corporate network engineering.
• Ability to independently lead large-scale initiatives including planning, design, capacity forecasting, and implementation.
• Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), WAN technologies, and enterprise network design.
• Proven experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code, including scripting and playbook development.
• Exposure to AI-assisted network operations, telemetry analysis, or intelligent monitoring platforms.
• Deep experience with enterprise firewall technologies and modern security best practices, including zero-trust concepts.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-managed networking platforms.
• Strong understanding of WAN architectures, VPNs, and cloud connectivity.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Self-driven mindset with the ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

• Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, DevNet, or equivalent).
• Experience with NetDevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, and zero-trust architectures.
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN), intent-based networking, and segmentation strategies.
• Experience with public cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML use cases such as automated remediation or predictive capacity planning.
• Experience working with containerized platforms and modern application networking models.
