Location: Downtown Chicago (Hybrid)
Compensation: $140,000-$175,000 base + 25-40% bonus
We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead critical cybersecurity compliance initiatives within the energy sector. This role combines advanced OT/IT expertise with regulatory compliance leadership to ensure reliability and security across complex environments.
What You'll Do
- Drive end-to-end planning and execution of compliance deliverables, focusing on continuous improvement and internal controls.
- Provide expert guidance on OT/IT cybersecurity, networking, and SCADA systems to maintain compliance fitness.
- Support NERC Medium/High Impact performance obligations and oversee policy, procedure, and job aid maintenance.
- Develop and deliver NERC CIP training for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging cybersecurity developments through benchmarking and advocacy.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline with an engineering/power systems focus.
- 10+ years of IT/OT cybersecurity experience and 5+ years of direct NERC program implementation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in firewall, networking, vulnerability scanning, and MS SharePoint/KPI tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to travel 10-20%; must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
