Role Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned SLED Account Executive to drive revenue growth across State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers in the Southeast region. This role owns the full enterprise sales lifecycle, selling a mission‑critical SaaS platform into complex government environments.
The ideal candidate has deep experience closing large, 7‑figure enterprise deals, is comfortable navigating public sector procurement, and brings a consultative, outcomes‑focused approach. Prior experience selling identity verification or fraud prevention solutions is preferred but not required. Experience selling enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity solutions is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute a comprehensive territory plan for SLED accounts across the Southeast
- Build, develop, and manage a robust pipeline of qualified public sector opportunities
- Navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder sales environments including IT, security, procurement, and executive leadership
- Lead full‑cycle enterprise sales motions, including RFPs, contract negotiations, and multi‑year agreements
- Successfully close large, complex deals, including transactions exceeding seven figures in total contract value
- Collaborate closely with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver value‑based solutions
- Develop trusted, long‑term relationships with key decision makers and influencers
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM hygiene
- Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, including significant exposure to SLED or public sector customers
- Demonstrated success closing 7‑figure, complex SaaS or cybersecurity deals
- Experience managing long, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and contracting
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in high‑value territories
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at the executive level
- Willingness to travel as needed throughout the Southeast region
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling identity, fraud prevention, risk, or security‑related solutions
- Established relationships within state, local, or education agencies in the Southeast
- Familiarity with modern cloud architectures and enterprise security platforms
