Network Wireless Engineer
Project description:
As a Network Engineer L3, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and operation of complex WLAN infrastructures as well as the provision of managed networking services for our customers. You will act as a technical expert for wireless networks and support operation in highly available enterprise environments.
Main tasks:
- Design, configuration and maintenance of Wi-Fi networks (access points, controllers, SSID management).
- Implementation and operation of Managed Networking Services (LAN/WLAN), including monitoring, incident and change management.
- Analysis and troubleshooting of network problems at the L3 level (routing, switching, wireless).
- Collaborate with service management and customers to ensure SLAs.
- Documentation of network designs, Wi-Fi heatmaps, and handoff processes.
- Support for migrations and rollouts for WLAN and managed services projects.
- Ensure security policies (802.1X, WPA3, Privileged Access Management).
Required knowledge & skills:
- Wireless technologies: Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF design, roaming, QoS.
- Network protocols: VLAN, STP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Technologies: Cisco Wireless (Catalyst, Meraki), LAN/WLAN controller.
- Managed Services Tools: ServiceNow, ITSM-Integration
- Security: 802.1X, NAC, network segmentation.
- Languages: German and English (fluent).
Required certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise Wireless)
- ITIL Foundation (for Managed Services Processes)
