Senior Network Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network and virtual infrastructure across domestic and international locations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of critical networking, cloud, and virtualization technologies while supporting strategic infrastructure initiatives and disaster recovery efforts.
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design, deploy, configure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and virtual network environments
- Administer and support VMware environments including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and virtual switching
- Manage Azure infrastructure including networking, virtual machines, storage, connectivity, and monitoring solutions
- Maintain network hardware, firewalls, and related infrastructure while supporting upgrades and lifecycle management
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, network segmentation, IPS/IDS, and secure remote-access solutions
- Monitor network and system performance, conduct capacity planning, and support enterprise storage environments
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, documentation, and operational readiness
- Provide Tier III escalation support and mentor junior IT staff
The Senior Network Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4-8+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, STP, QoS, and IPsec
- Strong experience with Cisco networking, SD-WAN solutions, and Palo Alto or similar firewall technologies
- Advanced VMware vSphere administration and virtual networking expertise
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Datadog, PRTG, LogicMonitor, Meraki, and Wireshark
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE, PCNSE, Network+, or Security+ preferred
