Software Engineering Manager (Vancouver, BC - Hybrid)

This is a leadership role managing a team of ~8-10 engineers building large-scale, real-world systems used in high-stakes environments. You'll sit at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and people leadership, with real ownership over both technical direction and team growth.

What you'll be doing: * Leading and mentoring engineers while driving performance, engagement, and career growth
* Partnering closely with architects on system design and code quality across C++ and C# environments
* Owning roadmaps and translating business needs into clear technical execution
* Modernizing tooling, reducing technical debt, and improving development workflows
* Championing Agile practices and keeping teams focused on high-impact delivery

What they're looking for: * 8+ years in software engineering with strong depth in C++ and/or C#
* 3+ years managing engineering teams
* Experience building and scaling complex applications in cloud or on-prem environments
* Strong system design skills and ability to operate at both high-level and deep technical detail
* Solid understanding of CI/CD, automation, and modern DevOps practices

Nice to have: * Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices
* Experience with video, streaming, or real-time systems is a plus
