Overview
Glocomms is partnered with a leading construction firm seeking a Site IT Support Specialist to support technology operations across corporate offices, active construction sites, and data center environments. This individual will serve as a key IT resource, providing end-user support, maintaining business-critical technology systems, and assisting with infrastructure, networking, and site technology initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys supporting both office and field teams while helping ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote IT support across corporate offices, construction sites, and field locations.
- Serve as the primary technology resource for employees, helping ensure reliable and efficient day-to-day operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, device, connectivity, and user support issues.
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of end-user technology and IT assets.
- Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, account administration, and access management activities.
- Support office, field, and jobsite technology initiatives, deployments, upgrades, and relocation's.
- Assist with infrastructure, networking, and data center operations to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Support workplace technology, collaboration tools, conference rooms, and audiovisual systems.
- Manage service requests, incidents, and technical documentation while following established support processes.
- Partner with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support ongoing operational and technology needs.
- Travel to corporate offices, construction sites, and other company locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in desktop support, end-user support, service desk, site support, field support, or IT support roles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, devices, connectivity, and end-user technologies.
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other business-critical technology.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure support.
- Exposure to IT infrastructure, data center environments, or enterprise technology operations.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities across multiple locations.
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to local project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting construction, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, field services, or other multi-site operational environments.
- Experience providing onsite support in office, field, or operational environments.
- Familiarity with technology deployments, office moves, site launches, or infrastructure upgrades.
- Exposure to networking, servers, storage, cloud technologies, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience supporting geographically distributed users and locations.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or equivalent.
