A fast-growing cloud infrastructure company is hiring a Senior or Staff Network Security Engineer to lead network and perimeter security across its global platform. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a proactive mindset, ready to take ownership of security architecture in a high-throughput environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy edge protections: firewalls, WAFs, proxies, CDN controls
- Build and maintain DDoS mitigation strategies
- Lead Zero-Trust implementation across cloud and network domains
- Develop monitoring systems and manage incident response
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams
- Mentor engineers and promote a security-first culture
- Author and enforce scalable security policies
Requirements
- 5+ years in network security engineering
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Deep knowledge of edge security, DDoS defense, and Zero-Trust models
- Familiarity with protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, HTTP/S), segmentation, VPNs
- Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hyperscale or cloud-provider environments
- Familiarity with tools like Cloudflare, AWS Shield, Akamai, Arbor, F5
- Knowledge of IAM, MFA, NAC, and scripting (Python, Go)
- Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, etc.)
