A leading organization in the commercial real estate finance sector is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its dynamic in-house technology team. This team is known for its innovation, collaboration, and commitment to excellence in data, technology, and cybersecurity.

You'll be part of a forward-thinking Information Security group that plays a critical role in protecting enterprise assets through a comprehensive cybersecurity framework. The team is passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement, and works across the organization to ensure a secure and resilient technology environment.

Your Impact

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of security tools across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure design and deployment of systems and applications.
  • Investigate threats, analyze anomalies, and contribute to incident response efforts.
  • Drive automation and hardening of security configurations across networks and endpoints.
  • Provide strategic input on security investments and tooling decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a security SME across multiple domains and business units.
  • Evaluate and manage security tools (e.g., EDR, DLP, SWG, cloud posture, privileged access).
  • Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of digital assets and ensure automated updates.
  • Report risks and findings to leadership in a clear and timely manner.
  • Participate in security events, investigations, and compliance initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in cybersecurity operations; 2+ years in security engineering or architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and security frameworks (NIST, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Netskope, Box Shield, Cisco IronPort, and more.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, JSON) and automation.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500) are a plus.
