DevSecOps Engineer
My client is seeking experienced DevSecOps Engineers to join a high-security Kommando Cyber Operations environment. This is a fully on-premise role, focused on delivering secure, automated infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities within my client's data centre operations. Candidates must be eligible for PSP clearance and have a strong background in networking, data storage, and automation engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Support high-availability Kubernetes clusters and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
- Collaborate with engineering support teams to drive automation and operational excellence.
- Apply DevSecOps principles and Agile methodologies across the development lifecycle.
Manage and improve:
- Service Request Management
- Incident Management
- Monitoring and Event Management
- Change Enablement
- Continual Improvement
- Knowledge Management
- Ensure compliance with my client's security and operational standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in networking and data storage & management.
Technical Environment:
- DevSecOps Tools: Ansible, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, Terraform, Puppet, CloudBees
- Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Istio, Docker
- Automation & IaC: Ansible, Terraform, Python, NodeJS
- Monitoring & Security: Qualys, ISO27001 practices
- CI/CD: GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
- Networking & Storage: Strong understanding required
- Cloud: No cloud usage - fully on-premise infrastructure
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in DevSecOps engineering within secure or regulated environments.
- Strong background in networking and data storage.
- Hands-on experience with automation technologies and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Istio, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Must be German-speaking and eligible for PSP clearance (ideally residing long-term in Switzerland or EU citizen).
- Ability to work on-site in Bern at least 3 days per week (remote work outside Switzerland is not permitted).
Additional Notes:
- PSP clearance typically takes 1 month for long-term Swiss residents; longer for international profiles.
- Candidates with experience in cybersecurity, air traffic control, financial services, or embedded systems are highly valued
