A multi-division engineering and construction group is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to support its expanding portfolio of infrastructure, industrial, and large‑scale development projects. Role Overview
The Senior Integration Engineer serves as the primary technical leader for enterprise system integrations, ensuring smooth, secure, and scalable data movement across internal applications and partner systems. This role provides subject‑matter expertise in integration architecture, data exchange standards, and end‑to‑end workflow optimization.
Working closely with business units, application owners, external vendors, and IT leadership, this individual drives the implementation of integration strategies that support operational efficiency and organizational growth. The position also includes mentoring junior integration staff and contributing to long-term platform and governance planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead analyst and SME for enterprise integration solutions and middleware technologies.
- Design, build, and maintain integrations connecting ERP, CRM, cloud services, third‑party applications, and analytics/BI environments.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, map data flows, and create robust integration architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex integration and data quality issues, performing in‑depth root‑cause analysis.
- Produce detailed documentation for interface specifications, data mappings, dependencies, and workflow logic.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and rollout of new integrations across development, QA, and production environments.
- Establish and enforce standards for security, performance monitoring, and integration best practices.
- Partner with infrastructure and application teams to ensure scalability, compliance, and high availability.
- Evaluate emerging integration tools, APIs, automation solutions, and cloud-based technologies.
- Mentor junior analysts on technical methods, documentation, and process improvements.
- Support enterprise projects involving system modernization, data architecture, digital transformation, and governance.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 6-10+ years of experience in integration engineering, ETL development, systems design, or application development.
- Strong expertise with APIs, ETL pipelines, integration frameworks, and enterprise data exchange.
- Advanced understanding of data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) and transformation logic.
- Solid SQL proficiency, especially for validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating multiple enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, data warehouse, digital systems).
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with integration tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM or SDLC frameworks.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or related industries (nice to have).
- Data architecture or data modeling skills (plus).
