Data Analyst - Quality & Systems
About the Role
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our Commerce team and take ownership of client-facing data quality processes. This is a foundational hire, with a clear path to leadership, as we build a scalable data operations function to support our growing business. You'll be the first of several strategic hires over the next six months, helping transition responsibilities currently held by senior leadership.
This role is perfect for someone who's passionate about working with data-someone who enjoys solving problems, building tools, and improving the accuracy and reliability of the information we deliver to clients. You'll work closely with Kevin and eventually lead the Data Quality function for the Commerce business unit.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and analyze the data delivered to clients across all Commerce products.
- Identify bugs, prioritize fixes, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to resolve issues.
- Build internal tools and recommend process improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
- Work across diverse data sources-including mobile SDKs and digital product suites-to ensure data is clean, accurate, and actionable.
- Partner with internal teams to support the rebranding and restructuring of business units.
- Modernize legacy workflows by transitioning from paper-based systems to fully digital pipelines.
- Prepare to lead and scale the Data Quality team within the Commerce vertical.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience working with data in analytical or operational roles.
- Strong Python skills, especially in cleaning and transforming messy datasets (e.g., PDFs, CAD files, Excel).
- Familiarity with tools and platforms used for data monitoring, debugging, and client delivery.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, simple language to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience applying data or ML solutions in real-world settings-whether through testing, iteration, or production deployment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Enthusiasm for building and improving systems, with a track record of thoughtful problem-solving.
Why This Role Matters
This is more than a data analyst position-it's a chance to shape the future of data quality within a fast-evolving business unit. You'll have the opportunity to build a team, define best practices, and make a lasting impact on how we deliver value to our clients. If you're excited by the idea of turning data into action and scaling a function from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
