Associate IAM Engineer

Role Overview:
A leading investment and technology-driven firm is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer with deep expertise in AWS IAM, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, support, and troubleshoot identity and authentication services.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Architect and implement authentication policies and best practices across identity providers.
  • Automate IAM processes and workflows.
  • Manage IAM policies, roles, and identity federation across AWS, Azure, and ADDS.
  • Enhance both on-premises and cloud-based directory environments.
  • Collaborate with product owners on engineering functions across Directory Services, IGA, PAM, Windows, Linux, and automation/scripting.
  • Conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to evaluate technologies aligned with organizational needs.
  • Ensure IAM solutions comply with InfoSec, Risk, and Compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain IAM documentation including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues related to IAM platforms, especially Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Support Identity Governance functions including PAM and access reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise IAM, PAM, or related security domains, including at least 2 years with AWS and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong background in technical architecture involving multi-tiered applications, LDAP, directory services, and network infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Active Directory and Entra ID design, implementation, and support.
  • Familiarity with forest/domain recovery processes.
  • Experience with Kerberos and authentication for Linux and non-Windows platforms.
  • Proficiency in SAML, OAUTH, OIDC, LDAP, and SCIM REST API architectures.
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms such as GCP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
