Account Executive - Northeast
Our client is a rapidly growing provider of software solutions tailored for the energy industry. Their platform helps upstream, midstream, and service companies optimize operations, improve financial performance, and accelerate digital transformation. As they expand into the Northeast, they are seeking a high-performing Account Executive to lead new business development efforts in the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions.
Position Overview
The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities with mid-market oil & gas companies operating in the Northeast, particularly within the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays. This role is ideal for a self-starter with deep industry knowledge and a passion for helping clients solve complex operational challenges through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- New business development: Prospect and build relationships with key stakeholders at mid-market O&G companies in the Northeast.
- Consultative selling: Understand client needs and position our client's solutions to address operational and financial pain points.
- Sales pipeline management: Maintain a healthy pipeline and accurately forecast revenue using CRM tools.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Regional expertise: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics specific to the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS or technology solutions for the energy sector.
- Proven success in exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
- Strong understanding of the oil & gas industry, especially in the Northeast shale plays.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
