Are you ready to lead the future of aerospace technology? We're looking for a seasoned Director of Embedded Software Engineering to guide a global team in developing high-integrity software for advanced aerospace systems.
Your Impact
- Lead and inspire a team of 80+ engineers across multiple locations, driving innovation in both new product development and legacy system support.
- Ensure strict compliance with aerospace safety standards such as DO-178 DAL A and MIL-STD-882.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Serve as a strategic leader, shaping engineering roadmaps, managing budgets, and representing the organization at key industry events.
- Champion lean development practices and breakthrough engineering solutions.
What You Bring
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience leading large-scale engineering teams in regulated environments.
- Deep expertise in embedded software for aerospace or defense systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- U.S. Person status required (per ITAR/EAR regulations).
Preferred Skills
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and systems engineering methodologies.
- Experience with lean product development and design for Six Sigma.
