Senior Security Engineer, IAM

Glocomms is partnering with a major financial services organization to find a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to strengthen our organization's security posture and support critical access management initiatives. In this role, you will engineer, maintain, and optimize privileged access and IAM systems, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design secure, scalable solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, automation, and enhancing security within complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and engineering support for privileged access and secrets management platforms (e.g., CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, PKI).
  • Manage infrastructure lifecycles including patching, version upgrades, hotfixes, troubleshooting, and break-fix support.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on access management architecture, authentication, and authorization protocols.
  • Implement enhancements to improve user experience and automate integrations across the environment.
  • Leverage modern tools and AI-driven capabilities to support proactive issue detection and remediation.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies that improve security, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization technologies (e.g., Active Directory, OAuth2, OIDC, AWS IAM, Kerberos, certificates, LDAP).
  • Experience with cloud environments and CI/CD deployment pipelines (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
  • Solid grasp of security architecture principles including confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting or development languages (Go, Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Hands-on experience with privileged access management and access controls across on‑prem and cloud environments.
  • Background in security engineering, security operations, software development, or related areas.
  • Familiarity with AI coding assistants or automated development tools is a plus.
