Product Owner
Overview
We are supporting a leading insurance organisation based in Munich in the search for an experienced Product Owner to join on a 12-month contract.
This role will play a key part in driving the delivery of digital and business-critical initiatives, working at the intersection of business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-impact products and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritisation aligned to business goals
- Translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, and business stakeholders to deliver product features
- Act as the primary interface between business and development teams
- Drive Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews)
- Ensure timely delivery of product increments in line with defined KPIs and milestones
- Support process improvement and optimisation initiatives across insurance operations
- Monitor product performance and incorporate user and stakeholder feedback
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst within Agile environments
- Strong understanding of insurance processes (e.g. underwriting, claims, policy admin)
- Experience working on digital transformation or system implementation projects
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and IT functions
- Strong communication and requirements gathering skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile platforms
