Our client, an innovative and cutting-edge full-service design firm, is actively seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Business Systems. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who excels in driving the development, implementation, and optimization of internal systems, ensuring they are not only effective but also scalable and secure. By taking on this position, you will play a crucial part in supporting a team of world-class architects, engineers, and designers as they deliver exceptional, industry-leading services to their clients. This is an onsite position based in Dallas, TX, offering you the opportunity to work closely with an ambitious and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and seamless integration of enterprise systems, including but not limited to ERP, CRM, and HCM, ensuring these tools are tailored to meet the unique needs of the organization.
- Collaborate extensively with diverse teams across operations, design, and technology, ensuring alignment between technological solutions and the company's strategic business goals as well as industry best practices.
- Oversee and continuously monitor software performance, ensuring high levels of efficiency while prioritizing data governance and security. Manage vendor relationships to guarantee optimal service and product delivery.
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs to empower employees to use digital tools effectively. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to maintain a high level of system adoption and utilization across the organization.
- Proactively identify areas for technological improvement and recommend innovative solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Ensure the organization's systems architecture is adaptable for future growth, scalability, and integration of emerging technologies.
- Act as a strategic advisor, providing insights that influence decisions at the executive level by using data-driven analysis and reporting from enterprise systems.
Essential Skills
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in working with design software tools. 5+ years of experience in people management, required, with a preference for previously held director titles of a similar nature.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related degrees is required.
- Technical Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing design software tools such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, and BIM 360, ensuring these tools align with project requirements and organizational goals. This includes the ability to guide teams in the adoption of these tools effectively.
- Analytical Thinking: Proven track record of identifying and resolving inefficiencies in systems and processes. Adept at evaluating complex problems, implementing practical solutions, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven analysis.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and system capabilities.
- Project Management: Extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing software integration projects, and ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives and delivered within scope, timeline, and budget.

- Strong understanding of data governance and security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
