IT Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget, ensuring clear planning, structured execution, and smooth coordination across all work streams.
  • Manage stakeholders at multiple levels while guiding cross‑functional teams, external vendors, and business partners to maintain alignment and transparency throughout the delivery life-cycle.
  • Drive project governance, maintain RAID logs, and ensure risks and dependencies are proactively managed.
  • Support Agile and Waterfall ceremonies, produce regular status reporting, and uphold strong communication standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, audit, data‑protection, and security requirements, particularly those relevant to insurance and financial services environments.
  • Promote best practices in delivery, project structure, quality assurance, and documentation to maintain consistency across the programme.

Your Profile

Proven experience delivering IT projects in complex environments, ideally within insurance or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including both Agile and Waterfall, with the ability to operate effectively in hybrid settings.
  • Skilled in working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or MS Project. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities, with the confidence to collaborate across business, technology, and senior leadership groups.
  • Able to translate technical concepts into clear business language. Fluent in English, with German skills considered a strong advantage. Proactive, organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of driving outcomes under pressure.

What's Offered

Duration: 12 months (extension possible).
Location: Germany (Hybrid).Competitive day rate and exposure to strategic, high‑visibility initiatives within a major insurance organisation.
Start Date: Flexible (Project aiming to get started for May/June 2026)
