GCP IAC Support Engineer

Contract - 6 to 12 Months (+ extensions / C2H)
Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite)
Location: Multiple US Locations

Position Overview

A leading financial institution is seeking a Tier 3 Support Engineer to join a high-impact cloud infrastructure team. You'll support a multi-cloud platform built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), working alongside senior engineers and architects to ensure platform reliability, resolve incidents, and support onboarding of new workloads.

This is a hybrid contract role with potential to convert to full-time. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on secure, scalable infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 3 support for infrastructure issues across GCP, AWS, and Azure
  • Troubleshoot Terraform deployment issues, networking problems, and cloud service outages
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes
  • Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
  • Support onboarding of new applications and use cases
  • Document resolutions and platform changes for internal knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in cloud infrastructure support or DevOps roles
  • Strong experience with GCP, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Experience in regulated environments (finance preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to AI/ML workloads or data platforms
  • Familiarity with incident management frameworks
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP, Terraform)
