Technical Support & Services Technician

A growing mechanical services organization is seeking an Technical Support & Service Technician to support commercial and industrial customers across the region. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working independently in the field, and building strong relationships with customers.

You'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of HVAC systems while serving as a trusted technical resource for clients. Whether you're an experienced technician or looking to further develop your skills, this role offers ongoing training, career advancement opportunities, and exposure to a wide range of equipment and technologies.

Candidates from a variety of backgrounds will be considered. The hiring team values technical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and a strong customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and startups on commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Respond to service requests and deliver timely, high-quality support to customers.
  • Interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, facility personnel, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
  • Manage daily service schedules and prioritize multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Promote a safe work environment and follow established safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Technical training, certification, or experience related to HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical systems, or a similar field.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the service territory.
  • Preferred
  • Experience with building automation systems or HVAC controls.
  • Familiarity with VRF/VRV systems.
  • Experience supporting commercial or industrial facilities.
